There are several DIY methods we can use to help us get rid of bed bugs but Baking soda is by far the most popular. So how does baking soda work to kill a bed bug infestation? Baking soda is able to absorb all the fluids on the waxy layer of a bed bug’s shell causing them to dehydrate. The small granules of baking soda can also cut into a bed bug shell and cause internal bleeding. So here is the Baking Soda Method. Sprinkle baking soda around the key hotspot areas where bedbugs frequent such as the mattress, around the bed, carpets, cracks and crevices where they may be hiding. You’re going to need to leave the baking soda for a few days in these areas, and then vacuum it up and repeat the process again.
